Since we wear eyeglasses to correct our vision for various environments such as reading, driving, or using the computer, every person has a unique combination of near and distance requirements. We’ll provide the basic information of various prescription lenses and the ability to book your appointment so you can find the right solution for your eye care needs and your lifestyle.
How to choose prescription lenses?
While all lens manufacturers offer a wide range of lens materials, the suitability varies according to your lifestyle, frames, and prescription.
Our prescription lenses have the following features:
- 1.60 and 1.67 high index
- Super hydrophobic
- Hard multi-coated
- UV Protection
- Made of easy to clean polycarbonate material
What are high index lenses?
Lens index is a number that describes how thick or thin your lenses are. The higher a lens’ index is, the thinner it becomes. Higher prescriptions require higher index lenses, while lower prescriptions only require lower index lenses.
Prescription lenses can start from 1.5 to 1.74 index. At Frameii, our prescription lenses are made to 1.6 and 1.67 index, which are ultra-thin and a great choice for lower and higher prescriptions.
Can I send my prescription online?
Yes, absolutely. If you have already been examined by an optometrist, we will gladly take your prescription and make a custom set of lenses tailored to your prescription. Simply choose your lens index upon selecting a frame (1.60 or 1.67), and either upload an image of your prescription, or manually fill out our prescription form.
